Preparation of the next stable Debian GNU/Linux
E’ di stamattina la notizia dell’imminente arrivo della prossima release stable della distribuzione Linux Debian (anzi GNU Linux per la precisione), versione 3.0r5 in attesa che la versione Testing (codename: sarge) venga resa stabile. Come si legge dalla mail di Martin Schulze:
I am preparing the next revision of the current stable Debian distribution (woody) and will infrequently send reports so people can actually comment on it and intervene whenever this is required. It is scheduled for any time now.
La prossima release dovrebbe essere finalmente il passaggio definitivo dell’attuale Testing a Stable, l’ultimo di questi passaggi fu il 19 Luglio 2002 quando la woody divenne ufficialmente stable.
