Beagle & Extended Attributes

Per aggiungere gli extended attributes di Beagle alla vostra workstation Linux:
1) Assicuratevi di avere abilitati i seguenti parametri del kernel (a seconda del tipo di filesystem utilizzato):
- Ext2: CONFIG_EXT2_FS_XATTR
- Ext3: CONFIG_EXT3_FS_XATTR
- Reiser3: REISERFS_FS_XATTR
# cat /boot /config-`uname -r` | CONFIG_EXT3_FS_XATTR CONFIG_EXT3_FS_XATTR=y
Se non avete il parametro abilitato dovrete ricompilare il kernel abilitandolo.
2) Editate il file /etc/fstab e modificate la riga contenente il path della vostra home directory, ma volendo anche delle altre partizioni, in questo modo:
/dev/hda3 /home ext3 defaults,user_xattr 1 2
3) Non resta che smontare e rimontare la/e partizione/i modificate perche’ usino gli extended attributes di Beagle:
# mount -o remount /home
